    Milford Music Festival fundraiser

Milford - Join the Cliff Park Inn, special musical guest John Curtin, and Milford Music Festival for its second annual Cocktail Party Fundraiser on Thursday, March 29, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The fundraiser will be complete with hors d’eouvres, raffles, a silent auction, one hour limited open bar, and live entertainment. Tickets for the event are $30 at the door and $25 in advance, which can be purchased at Altec Lansing located at 535 U.S. Routes 6 & 209 in Milford; Wild Meadow Flowers located in the Upper Mill, 149 Sawkill Avenue in Milford; or online at www.milfordmusic.org.

An array of items will be up for bid during the raffle and silent auction. Some of the prizes include an autographed guitar signed by KC from KC and The Sunshine Band, high-end consumer electronics from Altec Lansing and Plantronics, Woodloch Pines Resort gift certificates, a 2007-08 unlimited season pass from Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain, Family Fun Day Packages from Costa’s Family Fun Park, Black Bear Film Festival tickets, CD music packages, T-shirts, sweatshirts, as well as gifts and certificates from Milford Music Center, Lori Brodersen Massage Therapy, Bodies in Balance, Wild Meadow Flowers, Honesdale Rhythm & Roots Festival and more.

Musical guest John Curtin will give a solo performance with his preferred guitar, a Guild Songbird; an acoustic guitar that “plugs in.” As a local performer, John has played at a number of restaurants, resorts, and art galleries throughout the Pocono’s, including The Water Wheel, Apple Valley, and Woodloch Pines, Erhardt’s. A veteran in the music industry, he is also a music arranger and the music director for the theme shows at Woodloch Pines.

The full line-up for the June 8, 9 and 10 festival will be announced and the awards will be given to our Festival Image winners. As an added bonus to the festivities, seated massages will be offered by Lori Brodersen of Lori Brodersen Massage Therapy at $1 per minute.

All proceeds from the cocktail party will go to benefit the Milford Music Festival and its mission to provide the community with a free, annual weekend music celebration in and around Milford Borough.

The Milford Music Festival is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization. All contributions are tax-deductible. For information on becoming a sponsor, please visit the Web site at: www.milfordmusic.org, or contact Angel Barnard at 570-296-1339.
