    Correction

Warwick - An article in last week’s Warwick Advertiser about the Warwick Valley School District’s proposed 2009-10 budget contained several errors.

Although the story correctly reported that the tax levy would increase by 1.8 percent, the story’s headline incorrectly stated that there would be no tax increase.

District officials also are asking voters for permission to establish a reserve fund of up to $5.2 million, called the “District wide Renovation, Reconstruction and Health and Safety Reserve Fund for Phase III Project.” This would be funded from unappropriated, unexpended balances over the next five years.

The Advertiser incorrectly implied that that the money was available to be transferred. This fund does not now exist.

We regret the errors and the inconvenience it has caused.
