Chester Ambulance Corps teaches families lifesaving basics
Photos by Ed Bailey
This past Saturday the Chester Volunteer Ambulance Corps taught families the basics of CPR so that they will know how to respond in the case of a medical emergency. “CPR Saturday” was held in honor of Alyssa Barberi, a Chester Elementary student who died on March 8 at the age of 11. The two sessions were held at the Chester Academy. Mike McKay of the corps said the day was a “big success”: “We had around 80 people show up for the free training ranging from five years old and up. Aside from CVAC members we had instructors from Goshen, Blooming Grove, Monroe and Warwick that came out to volunteer their time.”
