The Chronicle > News‘The right thing to do!’ School board honors winning artist
GOSHEN - Lee Bush, a freshman at Goshen High School, was recently honored by the Goshen Board of Education for winning first place in Division III (grades six to eight) in the 2009 School Bus Safety Poster Contest, coordinated by the New York Association for Pupil Transportation.
This year’s theme was “Cross in view, it’s the right thing to do!” Lee entered the contest last year as an eighth grade student at the C. J. Hooker Middle School. He has won the contest for the past three consecutive years - each year he was eligible to enter. District Superintendent Daniel T. Connor commended Lee for his accomplishment. He was joined by Assemblywoman Annie Rabbitt, who praised Lee for all of his artistic successes, and he received a proclamation from State Sen. Bill Larkin. |
