Community input sought on school district’s future

Warwick — The Warwick Valley Central School District and Board of Education urges residents to visit the district Web site (www.warwickvalleyschools.com) to complete the Community Survey posted there. Today is the final day to provide input.

Results of the survey will help to shape the future of Warwick schools.

After a year of planning, the board of education’s “Community 20/20” program is being rolled out - a key element in the future planning process for Warwick’s six schools. The Community 20/20 committee is composed of District and Community members and was formed to create a permanent framework for communication between the Board and the community.

“Our goal is to effectively engage you, our district stakeholders, in this process,” said board President Dave Eaton. He and other committee members hope to create an ongoing dialogue between the school board and the community that will provide valuable input into the district’s strategic planning process.

The survey will be available on the district’s Web site until Friday, Oct. 23. Once the results are processed, the district will hold a meeting of Warwick residents to begin planning.

“Input from the community has been and will continue to be crucial to this process,” says Eaton. “So please take a few minutes, go to the district Web site and give us your input. By completing the survey you will be participating in this important first step in taking our school district to the next level of excellence.”

Those interested may access the survey at www.warwickvalleyschools.com.
