Chester — The First Presbyterian Church of Chester has started a new Sunday school.
It will be held prior to weekly Sunday services and is open to all youth, three years old and older, who are “interested in learning about the word of God in a fun and inspirational setting.”
This year’s curriculum has the theme “Get the Edge,” and will include activities, workbook lessons, and upbeat music “to help our youth realize they are an important part of a spiritual team.”
“Get the Edge” deals with popularity, integrity, success and failure, friendships, and relationships in general.
Sunday school is held from 9 to 9:45 a.m. The Sunday worship service follows from 10 to 11 a.m. Although participation in the service is not required for Sunday school children, the church encourages everyone to attend and “become part of our extended church family.”
The church is located at 94-96 Main St. in Chester. For more information call the church office at 469-4877 or visit the church’s Web site at www.chespresny.com.
