    Library offers job consultation program

Florida - Individual job consultations are being hosted this fall by a number of libraries in Orange County, including the Florida Public Library.

The Ramapo Catskill Library System’s “Help For You - Job Consultations” will provide participants with tools to help secure a job in today’s employment market.

Participants will meet one-on-one with employment specialists in a workshop setting at the Florida Public Library. Specific and practical ideas will be shared on creating a job-ready resume, removing barriers to employment, and acing the interview. Workshop leaders Eleanor Speier and Evelyn Fields are consultants with experience helping job seekers polish their skills to enter or re-enter the work force, said library officials.

    One-on-one, hour-long individual consultations will be available on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

An appointment is required. Preference will be given to Florida patrons, but a wait list will be available for non-residents.
