NEWTON — Apples are donated from orchards all throughout Sussex County for Northwest Christian School’s infamous apple pies. Parent volunteers peel and slice apples by the bushels in a production line set-up before being delivered to Holland American Bakery in Sussex.
Parents from Northwest Christian School, work alongside the bakery staff at Holland American Bakery in Sussex will make 275 hand-crafted apple pies. The pies are then frozen and sold exclusively at the Fall Craft Fair at the Augusta Fairgrounds on Nov. 21st.
Northwest Christian School’s 28th annual Fall Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, Nov. 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sussex County Fairgrounds. Admission is free. For more information, call 973-383-9713. For directions visit www.njstatefair.org.
